Built over 300 years ago, overlooking the River Barrow, it's here that counties Wexford and Kilkenny meet. Before a bridge spanned the river, a ferry operated from this point - so the name - The Ferryhouse! The house, barn ,and stables were restored in 1992. The result is an attractive openplan facility, surrounded by beautiful gardens, providing accommodation for up to 20 people.
The house was built originally as a coach - house and inn. In 1992, restoration work began on the house. It continued to include the barn and stables. The result is an attractive open-plan and comfortable facility that can accommodate up to twenty two people.
It has been our pleasure over the years to open up our home to visitors from home and abroad.
Alternatively we can accommodate your group at the Ferry on a self-catering basis. To see facilities click here . Food, transport and guide can be arranged on request.
